The US-based Centre for Aging Services Technologies (CAST) has produced an Introductory DVD Guide Imagine - The Future of Aging. It outlines visually the exciting new technologies - already available and planned in the next 10-15 years - which offer the potential to dramatically improve the quality of care we can provide to the growing numbers of older people in the face of the increasing cost of care, shortages of staff available to provide care and the geographic dispersal of families and increasing workforce participation of women, which both make it more difficult for families to provide care.
CAST is a program of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, which along with ACSA is a member of IAHSA.
