IT & Electronic Medication Management
This project will implement an Electronic Medication Management system intended to help to minimise the risk of medication errors and therefore assist the aged care sector to provide quality care and optimal health outcomes for their clients. The initial focus is on Residential Aged Care Facilities with future extension to the community based services. The project supports reform in the delivery of co-ordinated health care to the aged population, the delivery of aged care services and in workforce strategies that will enable the sector to meet the challenges it is currently facing.
