In early 2011, the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) in conjunction with Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) commenced a national education campaign on changes to the Aged Care Award 2010.

Shared Industry Assistance Project

Aged & Community Services Australia (ACSA) has received funding from the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) under the “Shared Industry Assistance Projects” program (SIAP). The objective of SIAP is to provide grants to employer/industry organisations to enable the development of guidance materials and associated assistance to both members and non‐members on the transition to the modern award/s which relate to their business. In the case of the Aged Care Industry FWO has agreed to fund material related to the Aged Care Award 2010.

Aged Care Award 2010 Annotated Version

This Annotated version of the Modern Award was prepared by ACSA as part of a Shared Industry Assistance Project funded by the Fair Work Ombudsman as a service to the Aged Care Industry. It is designed to provide guidance to Aged Care Providers required to transition to the new Modern Award.
